Remodeling Your Home with the Fullback Thermal Support System
The home remodeling process offers you the opportunity to upgrade the appearance
and long-term value of your home. When considering any remodeling project, both
the direct benefits (energy savings, appearance, freedom from
maintenance, etc.) should be taken into account as well as how the project
will affect the value of your home. Simply put, Fullback your home and get more
back—in terms of both long-term value and immediate benefits.
Fullback upgrades siding and new siding upgrades the value of your home
Remodeling magazine recognizes replacement siding as one of the best investments
you can make in home improvement based upon Percentage of Cost Recovered (a factor
that shows how much your remodeling investment pays off in the home’s value,
i.e., cost vs. value).
Annual Cost vs. Value
Siding projects now have the second largest return on investment as shown by
this factor (compared to 14 other interior and exterior project categories),
with a 95.5%* Percentage of Cost Recovered national average.
It stands to reason,
the better the siding, the better the payback.

Insulated Siding : Energy Efficiency & Comfort
Greater energy efficiency gives Insulated Siding proven superiority over standard
vinyl siding.
Up to 40% of your energy is leaking through the sides of your home.
How is your home leaking away all that energy? One culprit is the studs. They
conduct heat and allow energy to leak right through the walls of your home. Those
wood studs make up 25% of your home's wall surface so it's like having one entire
wall with NO INSULATION! Nearly half of your home's energy bill
is spent on heating and cooling, so slashing energy use will save you money on
your monthly bill.
- It will cost less to heat and cool your home
- You can expect to save on energy use
- You can achieve an R-value of up to 5, more than five times that of other
home exterior claddings
- It will add to the comfort and enjoyment of your home
- Elimination of cool drafts and “hot” spots
- Even, consistent temperatures
- Less stress on thermostats, furnaces and air conditioner
- Less stress on you and your budget
Lifetime Beauty & Durability
Fullback transforms any siding from a hollow veneer to a solid exterior wall
system that is as natural-looking as it is durable and lasting. Your home starts
out with a great look and stays that way.
With Fullback you get:
- Deeper profiles reflecting today’s most premium wood designs. The look
of today’s wider plank, extended length panels is not possible without
Fullback Thermal Support.
- A seamless, more natural finish. Fullback-supported
panels fit together tightly, eliminating the “telltale” seams commonly associated with “hollow” sidings.
- Up to 5 times the impact resistance.* Shock-absorbent Fullback retains its
original shape and is warranted against denting, cracking or breaking.
- Consistently straight wall lines. Siding that has been Fullbacked offers
greater rigidity and will not sag or warp over time.
Superior wind and weather resistance.Only siding with Fullback can stand up to
the forces of hail and hurricane-force winds. You won’t find panels missing
from your home after a storm.
Your home is also protected from damage that “gets under the skin” of
conventional siding
Patented PreventolTM® additive repels termites, which damage
your home—and ordinary, untreated foam backings.
Fullback Thermal Support is a permeable “vapor” breather. It will
not promote the growth of mold or contribute to “sick home syndrome."
Fullback® Certifications
Of course we stand behind our product with a comprehensive
warranty, but we’re
not the only source of confidence in the superior performance of Fullback. Independent
studies and certifications have verified the quality of our products.
ENERGY STAR® Home Sealing - Improving the envelope of your
home
For the average U.S. household, about half of the energy costs go toward heating
and cooling. These costs can be significantly reduced by improving the "envelope" or
outer shell of your home. ENERGY STAR recommends a process of
effective air-sealing techniques and additional insulation called Home Sealing
to improve the envelope of your home.
What are the benefits of an energy-efficient
envelope?
- improved comfort by reducing drafts
- savings on heating and cooling bills
- reduced noise transmission into your home
- fewer gaps and cracks for pollen, dust, and pests to enter
As an ENERGY STAR partner, Progressive Foam Technologies'
flagship product, the Fullback Thermal Support System, along with other EPS products
produced by Progressive Foam, are ENERGY STAR qualified products
as a part of the Home Sealing effort.
The Vinyl Siding Institute
The Vinyl Siding Institute (VSI) is the trade association for
manufacturers of vinyl siding and suppliers of raw materials, equipment and services
to the vinyl siding industry. As a member, Progressive Foam has worked closely
with members of the Technical and Marketing Committees to test our products for
approval for use with their vinyl siding. Progressive Foam has obtained approval
from all the producer member companies of the VSI.
UL® Classified
Progressive Foam contracts with Underwriters Laboratories (UL) to serve as our
ongoing third-party testing agency. We test our products routinely under this
protocol. In addition, periodic non-scheduled inspections are conducted by UL
personnel to ensure that our foam either meets or exceeds the performance requirements
for density, flexural strength, compressive resistance and flammability specified
by various building codes.
Warranty
The "R"-value, permeability and structural integrity
of Progressive Foam products are covered by a lifetime warranty which can be
transferred with ownership of the building where they are installed.
